let me start off by saying that i am one self proclaimed pain in the a$$ consumer. i would not want me as a customer. i have dealt with scannermaster probably in the dozens of times. once in a while thing's don't go perfectly. in the very few times that i've had a small problem with an order, they bent over backwards to make it right. they also price match the lowest advertised price that you can find. they offer rewards points on items you purchase. if you order before 3 pm est, they make sure that it goes out for delivery that day. i wish they sold ham gear as well. i'm not saying that there are not other fine, reputable dealers out there. i would just rather deal with scannermaster. although you were not happy, they did offer to re-order your item. not affiliated with scannermaster in any way. just a very happy customer.

p.s. not to be a broken record but, i wanted a gre psr-410. scannermaster was out of stock. i COULD have ordered it from another vendor who had it for the same price. i waited over a month. i would rather see the bucks go into scannermasters pocket ! .

I just want to add my voice to those relating good experiences with ScannerMaster. I have made many large and small purchases from them and have always been extremely satisfied. Only once was there a problem when tracking a scanner ordered as a birthday gift when I noted it was going out to the wrong address. I emailed them late at night and the next day received a phone call apologizing for the error and advising a new shipment was sent overnight express at no additional charge. I received the scanner in time and all was well.

All over the map.
I definitely think as many times as it's already been stated, it should be emphasized the mistake here was obviously by RadioShack.

There should be no warning at all about ScannerMaster, who are the single most professional, and accommodating consumer radio suppliers I have ever dealt with. Though I have never purchased an item from them that was drop-shipped, I have never had anything but fast shipping times from them. I also love their communications with customers, and the order tracking. ScannerMaster is a company that can be fully trusted, and depended on. Period.

Yep, someone did.

As other have pointed out, don't be so quick to blame Scanner Master.

Well then why do you come on here if you think this group is useless? There are any number of place to post such childish rants. Please grow up.

How come you didn't drive over to one of the dozen Radio Shacks in your area and pick one up. I count 7 RS within a 10 mile radius of Greer (29650) that have them in stock. Your in a target rich area for Pro-106. The closest one is just at 3 miles away. You said you don't trust Radio Shack but you can never go wrong if you actually walk in and do a hands-on purchase. You know exactly what your getting when you walk out of the store compared to ordering online and taking your chances.
The RS just 3-miles away did not have one in stock the internet site said it did, but when I went in they didn't have one and looked at me with this dumb look, she said they only get one radio, when they sell it they get another one, when you have a sale on a product you should carry more than one !!! And ScannerMaster did have the best price !!

I have done business with Scannermaster for many years. They have never disappointed me. Shipping is never a problem. Although I usually pay for standard shipping, the package usually arrives within 1-2 days.

I have also done business with RadioShack for much longer. As of two years ago, I will never shop there again. Their business model has changed and their customer service and product knowledge sucks!

If your transaction somehow involved both companies, I can assure you that it was RadioShack that screwed up your order and shipping.

Message to ScannerMaster: If you are using RadioShack to fulfill your customer's orders, you should be aware that your good reputation will be dragged down as a result. I almost exclusively buy GRE scanners and was very glad to hear that I could get them from somewhere other than RS. I will NEVER spend another penny in a RadioShack store.

ScannerMaster has always done a good job for me and I hope that RS is not drop shipping some of your orders.

Scanners currently or once owned: RadioShack (GRE) Pro-2005/2006/43/92/2067. RadioShack PRO-2052 (Uniden). Uniden BC-785 w/P25 card/BCT 15 x2/BCD996T/800-XLT/MR8100 x2/BC-210XL/BC Thin Scan. GRE PSR-500/600/800. Relm HS-200 Regency HX-1000/MX-3000/M-100 Electra Bearcat BC-III/IV. RCA/Teaberry pocket scanners. Those are the ones that I can remember...

I ordered a 396T from them about 5 years ago, I called them on the phone and the guy I place my order with was very nice, he tried to discourage me from paying for overnight shipping, but I needed it the next day and it arrived with no problem.

While I am more of an amateur radio operator than scanner enthusiast, the only company I know using the name Scanner Master is located in Massachusetts, near my old QTH.

I know there was a fellow on eBay some years ago known as Scanner Master, who bought a ton of old Allen Telecom/Antenna Specialists products and was selling them left and right...not sure what happened to him.

Anyhow, if the MA outfit is the company being discussed, rest assured they are a good operation. One of the owners is a good friend of mine, and my fiancee once referred to him as, "one of the nicest people in the world." And she is very judgmental of the human race! They do not have many employees, they are not some gigantic warehouse with thousands of each item in stock and 100 people walking the floor tirelessly to fill orders...rather a fairly simple and down-to-earth operation. A little larger than "mom and pop" size, but nonetheless that is the feeling you get from the company.

I realize this is a severely biased post, and I might sound like some marketing parrot, but I am not. In fact the only SM products I have ever bought were their frequency guides ("pocket guides" in recent years). I just wanted to let you folks know that when you are dealing with SM (located in MA), you are dealing with an honest and upstanding bunch of good people who are hobbyists just like you, and who do have your best interests at heart. I am 100% sure that if the owners of the company find out about any negative experience that someone has, that they would go out of their way to make right.

Do they have any Mon. 51 Antenna Specialists mobile magnet mount antennas?
