Scanners + computer = confusion....

Hello.

I have been scanning for about 7 years now, but I only get really involved periodically. (Then something shiny catches my eye, and it's all over for a while ).

Anyway, I'm noticing that there are no live scanner feeds from Ozaukee, Washington, Sheboygan, or Milwaukee Counties online.

Ozaukee county is of particular interest to me.

I would be willing to run a scanner or three to my computer and host some live feeds, but I have absolutely NO idea how to do this.

Any thoughts?

Shoutcast is the most popular streaming software/method.
Here's the 'how-to' site:

You probably want 'be a server'.

If you already know someone who has a server set up, you can do the 'be a dj' option.

also I used Windows media encoder for my scanner in Anchorage, AK when I lived there so just a thought. Its really easy.
