We will be receiving our first shipment of the new BCD 396T's on Tuesday, June 28th. Because we are getting a few more than we anticipated, there are still some spaces left for those that want one from this shipment.

Your BCD 396T will ship out to you on Tuesday, the 28th. If you want to receive it by Friday, we can ship it by UPS 2 Day Air or 3 Day Select. I will be phoning you tomorrow morning to confirm all the details.

I've been shopping with Glenn since he opened his store. Ordered several multi-band scanners from him in 1979 while I was stationed in England. From sending order out to receipt of scanners was 7 days. AND THAT WAS TO AN APO. Can't complain about that kind of service. Still get it.

Did the scanner ship with the software?? Its still not on the Uniden site!

Software is not yet available. I'll be working late again tonight on the help files, but 1st release might not have the help files included.

When available, it will be web only (no CD with product).

Thanks for the update. I know you're working hard to get the software released but even without the help files, it sure beats programming manually.

If possible, and if its functional, can you post a pre-release? My unit is shipping and should be here in a day.

You could get a head start by setting up the systems using the BC246T UASD. The BCD396T UASD will read the files...

I'm downloading now. Any specific differences I need to be aware of when using the 246 software to program the 396???

The 396 will allow you to program which audio alert to use for channel alert, as well as the volume level for the alert.

Actually, this is true for all types of alerts...

There will be a few additional settings you can make, but you won't lose any of the settings you do specify. (However, for now if you go the other way ... from 396 UASD to 246 UASD, some settings will be lost).
