newbie here that is out of the loop and needs updated.

My local LEO'S have migrated to 800 megs. I have a hand held that goes there but I still do not receive there calls. My handheld is old, analog and not trunked. Do I need a radio that is trunked to receive these calls? Do I need to leap up to a trunked radio that is digital for my area here in Noble County, Indiana? What are your recommendations for someone on a fixed income without breaking the bank?

Here is the database link Noble County, Indiana (IN) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Unless they moved to the Safe T net, they are all still listed as analog freqs, which if there has been a recent change may or may not be up to par. This would have been better served in the Indiana forum, but let it ride and see if someone local can give you more info.

They switched over last Thursday night at 10:00 P.M. according to the newspaper and the reduction of traffic on my old scanner that does not go to the 800 MEGS.
