what would be the best antenna to put on my scanner i have BC245. im looking at handheld antennas not base or anything. Pictures and websites will be a huge help.

raceman, there is not a whole lot you can do if you're going to limit yourself to an indoor antenna that will improve on the whip that comes with the radio. However, here are some sites that sell various antennas. These should give you a good start.

what is the best

right now i have a base scanner in fact i have two but one is really old but neither is a trunker what kind a of base scanners having the trunking feature.

I'm going to assume here that you will need digital trunking since so many areas are moving that way; there are only 2 (for now); the BC785 (and you would need to buy a seperate plug in card for digital reception) or the BC796 (the card is built in).

Supposedly sometime this month the PRO2096 (base/mobile version of the PRO96) is to hit the streets. But so far, that's only rumor, not fact....

Save up your nickels and dimes, they're both a bit on the expensive side.
