Kinda simple, Lot of scanners simply do not cover the MILAIR band 225-400MHZ & it will be in AM tho

You need to buy one that does cover the air band, I did and I'm really glad I did. Look in the Wiki for models, the Pro433, pro-2055, pro97 are really good and currently on the market.

While your current gear doesn't cover 225-400 Mhz, both the BC200 and BCT8 will cover the 138-144 mhz band where a lot of ANG activity occurs, provided you can change the mode from FM to AM (many don't allow you to do this). Assuming you can change the mode, and get a good antenna up in the air, you should have no trouble hearing this activity.

uniden's BCT15 and BR330T will do them and have alpha tags. There's a desktop model that will do it as well for about 150 but has no tags. Of course, the higher end Uniden stuff will scan it as well.
