BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Scanning but not picking anything up

I have a Uniden BCD996P2, I have channels set up but am not getting and response from scanner. Channels are scanning but does not stop on any channels, no squelch . Thanks

With what antenna?

I'm located in Greenville ,SC. I am trying to scan the police, fire and ems in this area. Using the antenna that came with the scanner. I did pickup the weather channel and had a short broadcast from County Sheriff.

Are you programming the Palmetto 800 trunked system? Or only programming the conventional frequencies found on the county's database page?

If you are using software, which program?

set the squelch on 2.

I did not have the Palmetto 800 programmed, I do now and it is working, I also set the squelch to 2. Thanks for all the Help, hiegtx and wtp
