You should read before posting! :twisted:

I don't see DE in the list of states with a scanner law, so;
Why is it illegal? :evil:

I was not trying to be rude, I was just saying that there has been an ongoing disscussion about Scanners in Motor Vehicles!

And I just looked up your state, and there are no laws that govern the use of a scanner in a Motor Vehicle

*sigh* Didn't I mention this should be a sticky somewhere already .. :roll:

I disagree. That is too general of a statement when there are very specific laws depending on what state you are in. All it does is add to the misinformation .. to quote verbatum from the website that I posted above (hint-hint):
If scanners are known to be either illegal or restricted in any states they will be listed below, with links to the text of the law, if known. If a state is NOT listed below, there is NO known scanner law.
How much more easier can that be?? :)

Sorry. just having fun.

Maybe it would be great for this site to put on-line a simple matrix of states with laws.

I saw one once for state laws on window tinting and found it very clear (pun intended) and helpfull.

Assume any "lashing out" you see as a fun poke in the ribs, not a harsh slap across the face and your internet experiance will be much more pleasant.
