First, great work. I actually like the scan feature on a CB, but my problem is that the only scan equipped unit I have had is the Cobra 18wxstII, which does not have an adjustment for gain, so it always pauses on channel 6...
I one time had a radio (RadioShack of some type) that had channel up and down buttons on the mic, and that was pretty cool too. Probably the next best thing to being able to scan.
I see a lot of people disputing on the legal, ethical, and moral ramifications of modifications of this kind. Part 15 infractions? I doubt with a legal 4 watt radio, anything you do won't interefere any legally licensed commercial stations. If you do, back off a dozen yards or so. If you are just mucking about on the CB channels, and not on those military or Morse code only bands just outside, I doubt you will attract the attention of the ~7 guys the FCC has available for CB regulation enforcement.
