Since I am still new to scanning for the most part I am wondering if these and these and the likes can be in the same bank together for monitoring at the same time. One scanner will be a Pro-91 the other a Pro-94. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you can mix a Motorola Type II trunked system and conventional system in the same bank. You just can't mix things like an EDACS and LTR system together since the frequencies have to be in a certain logical channel order to work.

Ok I have another (probably stupid) question. The Motorola Type II frequencies, how in the world do you put them in? I tried setting up my bosses pro-2052 for him and went through the factory manual and the alternate manual listed in the Wiki section. This is the first trunking scanner I am attempting to set up. I have done searches for the DEC and HEX on here and the web and can't come up with anything (possibly putting in the wrong search criteria). Any that can help or point in the correct direction is appreciated.

I guess what I am asking is do you just enter in the DEC #? This real new to me it used to be easy with the regular frequencies lol.

There are two separate steps for trunked systems.

If you are setting up the trunking system itself, you enter the frequencies listed at the top of the page for the site.

If you are setting up the talkgroup lists / subgroups, then yes you'll use the DEC # which is the talkgroup ID.

If you want to be able to listen to *anything* that happens on the system, you don't need to plug in TGIDs, unless you want to set up alpha-tags.

I think the second one is the one I am trying to do. I have those frequencies entered in already that are at the top of the site but I want to be able to listen to specific talk groups, example from one of the lists - 4848 12f TAC 1C Dept. Channel, County No. 36/37/10 Isle LaMotte, Alburg VT Fire-Tac

So this can be entered in along with those freq's at the top of the site page?

Yes, you will enter the TGIDs but they don't just go into a channel slot like the frequencies do.

Taking a quick look at a PRO-91 manual, you want to go to the section that talks about programming "scan lists". These are the TGID "sub-banks" for that scanner. Looks like the PRO-94 calls them "talk group ID lists". (I found the manuals through the Wiki page for the scanners.)

Can't tell you much more than that - I can't even program the TGID lists on my own PRO-164, I program it from the computer!
