Scanning the Kingston, ON area

Anyone got any ARC396 files they'd like to share.

Looking for frequencies for the region for when I visit.

I noticed in the tafl of some in-vehicle UHF Repeaters for KFD, anyone know the range on those?

I have a Words doc with all the conventionnal freqs of ontario's police, fire, and ems services (seperrated by county). It's a copy & paste from ARC246 into Words. I guess youcan copy and paste the freqs into your ARC software.

ERP is not listed in TAFL but it should be low, 5W or less, due to TX duty cycle and
re-use around the city i.e. keeping co-channel interference down.

Yeah, I'm gonna find a spot to put them into my scanning list. I'm going to Kingston Friday for the night and I might get a bit of time scanning in.

Gonna check through a few sites for some new frequencies to search out for the area.

the city of Kingston uses the freqs in the 160's the 150's are for the surrounding areas (Frontenac county)

How could I properly tag this then and submit it? Security? Business? - Queens University - Faculty of Education? McArthur hall?

For what it's worth, 511 Union St. is Queen's University's McArthur Hall, which is the Faculty of Education.

It isn't business, but it could be security, operations, or even custodial (housekeeping or janitorial) as there are several student residences on the Queens University West Campus. The only way to be sure is to actually listen. I would have thought this sort of traffic would be on the Queens 800 MHz. trunked system Queens University Trunking System, Kingston, Ontario - Scanner Frequencies rather than on a discrete UHF frequency, but perhaps the trunked system only covers the main campus and not the West campus.

I no longer live in Kingston but it is my hometown. When I was there I lived only a block West of McArthur hall, worked for the university for a time, and knew it well.
