• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Just got the software earlier this week. Seems to be OK, but there's a lot of bugs I've noticed...

The major one is how in the record mode, the control keys for the actual sound recorder (the ones in the middle of the screen aka Windows sound recorder type) work for a little while, then for no reason go blank and are un-clickable.

The keys for the program still work, but the sound is not recorded and is not saved. I can get around this by recording audio directly with the sound recorder, but I liked not having 3-4 minute gaps between TX.

Also, I want to say that I'm glad I'm only out $14 with this software. The "manual" which is nothing more than a readme.txt is about as much help as the manual that came with my Pro-95's.
