Hey Everyone,

Was looking in the database for Cumberland County Maine and noticed that there are trunked frequencies listed for Scarborough, Maine. Anyone know what these are going to be used for? Or even when they planned to go into use?

Was just curious!

Thanks for any help!!

According to the FCC database, the callsign is WQGU307, listed to Portland Public Safety. Looks like this is the rebanded 800 system. I don't know why the trasnmitter is at the Scarborough Public Safety Building, though. Right now, it's only listed as a Special Temporary Authority. Maybe there for testing?

Did some more digging. Those are Vehicular Repeater Systems for use when the police, and fire departments are in buildings. It appears, as of now, due to improper licensing (only the low side of the frequency pair is licensed), they have ceased operations.
