I got one of these a couple of years ago at a garage sale for $10. It works... but the lamp was burned out. Wound up replacing it with an LED and bias resistor. Now... the only thing that bugs me... the volume output is SUPER SUPER low. Way too quiet to hear. I can plug in headphones and that helps but still... it shoud be louder. Wanting to see if I can track down a cap or something wrong......

Thanks!

The audio amplifier is a TDA1905 integrated circuit. In a radio as old as yours the electrolytic capacitors around the audio amplifier have possibly gone bad. Replacing them should restore full volume to the audio.

C61 10uF 16V
C62 1uF 50V
C63 220uF 10V
C64 47uF 25V

Thanks for that info. I have to say that the audio it makes is "clean and clear" .... just very low in volume.

I hope those parts are numbered on the board!!!

Thanks again!
