On or about August 7th, "Scary" county was on the busier side with several incidents active in and around Middleburgh. During this influx, units mentioned switching to "County 1D", which impacted at least 2 fire agencies. We know what assuming does, but I would ASSUME this "1D" would be a county-wide frequency knowing this effected at least these 2 agencies. After scouring the database and forums, I'm coming up dry on any potential hits - even with the recent updates to their VHF infrastructure over the last year (plus). Any intel/direction would be appreciated.

D as in "direct"... "digital"?

Maybe county fire 1 but in talkaround mode (direct)? … “1D”
Eg move them off the repeater

Just a thought.

I thought about that too, but seems weird to have TA on simulcast patch channel. Especially dispatch. However, I don't monitor Schoharie much at all so I'm only guessing.

Follow up: The database shows here and there that this is not uncommon. My mistake.

My notes show the primary channel and a Fire 3 (Oak Hill), Fire 5 (Brown Mt), and ch 7 is a ground 1. This may indicate that there are talkarounds to each repeater channel in the plan but I have not seen an official list or codeplug to confirm this. My location also prevents me from monitoring directly on a regular basis.

Yeah, unfortunately Middleburgh is too far north from where I am in DelCo to keep an ear on any non-repeated VHF traffic.
