It's that time of year again...school's back in session soon.

Time to monitor school district channel for buses and buildings to confirm frequencies and their CTCSS or DCS info.

In comparison to traditional public safety agencies, school radio system don't get the attention they deserve.
Schools buses do play a support role in large emergencies for transportation of evacuees and personnel, and schools serving as emergency shelters.

In RSU 14 for example, they are now starting to use the old analog voice inversion scrambling for added security during transmissions

It would be great to expand the RR database with better data about school radio systems

Many now use DMR or NXDN and many now encrypt to protect children after all the issues these last few years.

Actually here in New England many of them are still quite Analog

There are a few using DMR and other flavors, but those are few and far-between.

For the OP - spent time searching during
a. 6a-9a
b 2p-4p

Where they are generally shuttling students around.

Also, check out the SNE Wiki, as there are plenty of them already found, either under the Business Page or the individual County Municipal Channels

Nice. Weird that here in the Midwest and down South are leading the way in going digital. Usually its the NE and Cali first in everything school related lol.
