I used to listen to the Scotia Square Mall Security, but it's been coming back as static for the past 6 months or so. I have a Home Patrol 1 so the frequencies are programmed automatically into the scanner. On the scanner it comes up as Scotia Square - Security but it's static.

I think it's a VHF frequency beginning as 4. I wonder why it's coming as static ?

That frequency range would be UHF. Frequency listed in the database is 462.3875. Perhaps they changed frequencies or radio equipment?

I'm here a lot
Industry Canada still shows :

Code:
467.387500 462.387500 F3EJN 6 HALIFAX,N.S, SCOTIA SQUARE(4TH FL.) HALIFAX DEVELOPMENTS LTD. ATTN: DIRECTOR SECURITY SERV. VCG613
467.387500 462.387500 F3EJN 6 HALIFAX,N.S,SCOTIA SQUARE(LW LEVEL) HALIFAX DEVELOPMENTS LTD. ATTN: DIRECTOR SECURITY SERV. VCA215

Same frequency, same mode (FM), active license. Nothing pending.

But, I also saw 460.7375 and 469.2500 listed. It's been a couple of years since I had a HP-1. Do you need the Extreme upgrade to add a frequency?
Maybe make a favourite list for the mall with those three frequencies and see what comes up.

I also thought that they had changed the frequency or something like that.

You don't need the extreme upgrade to manually enter a frequency into the HP-1 so I will give that a try. Thanks.

If you have any luck, please make a submission with your findings.

Thanks :)

Ok, I gave 462.3875 a listen and can confirm they've switched over to NEXEDGE digital, so you won't be able to follow them on your scanner anymore...
I haven't heard a peep on the other frequencies yet, 460.7375 469.2500 or 460.4875 which is also licensed to Halifax Developments Ltd

Also I've changed the mode in the database to NXDN. I assume Uniden will no longer include it in the HP database updates.
