Drove by the base on IL-161 with the trusty PRO-97 in signal stalker mode today. Heard the familiar sound of Motorola data channels and saw 138.2625Mhz on the display. This looked to be interesting...
Here's what I discovered:
System ID: B209
Base: 137.0000 Mhz
Offset: 460 (this took some time to figure out)
Step: 12.5
Frequencies
138.1375
138.2625d
138.3125
138.3375
138.3625
138.3875
138.4125
Talkgroups:
560 Units Calling Tower
1792 Telemetry (this is almost 100% duty cycle)
1152 Lima Charlie Units Doing Radio Checks (logistics)
1168 Units Calling Dispatch
Most traffic appeared to be relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina.
The PRO-96 I had with me will not tune the correct step size.
The PRO-97 wouldn't decode any APCO-25.
Oh, the good old days of TRUNKER!!!
