Anyone who I can contact concerning Amateur Radio. I am veteran and plan on visiting the base. I would like to carry my 2m/70 cm Radio there.

Has anybody answered you yet? If not, and you haven't made the trip, you might use the local 147.12+ and 443.1+ repeaters for the Scott area. Both are open and don't require any PL tone. You can monitor the Scott police on 150.300, Fire/Crash on 173.5625. St. Clair county Sheriff is on 154.740.

Hello, not to get off the Amateur Radio subject but I saw you post the FD and PD Channels. Do you know if they are switching their service to a Digital freq or are they staying in the analog area. I ask this inregards to buying a new scanner. Thanks
Sorry for the long delay, I kind of drifted away from scanning for a couple months. As far as I know they're going to a conventional Motorola based 400 MHz trunked system. Not sure when they're going to switch, though.
