SDS100/SDS200: Scratched Display on my SDS100 - Advice Needed: Replacement part available or DIY fix?

I just got a used SDS100 and the display was scratched. I used the PLASTX and it worked very good. It was either scratches or dirt, but it really shined it up. I used a small amount of PLASTX with a microfiber cloth.

I can verify that fingernail polish remover is not good to clean plastic. Back around 1977 when I was a green mechanic, a fleet customer came in for gas. We had to write the mileage down. The driver cleaned the clear plastic cover with this stuff. It literally melted the plastic enough the mileage could not be read.
