scratchy / robotic audio

moved my feed to another computer and now its really scratchy and sounds like robots speaking. Any ideas on how to fix it?

What are the specs of the computer you moved it to verus the one it was on?

The onboard sound card in the Dell Dimenson 8400 may not be fast enough to process the audio. What client are you using to provide the stream and what bitrate are you using?

Bring up control panel on your computer, so to the sound devices, select the recording sound device. Probe around, some version of Windows there is a setting for "Noise Reduction", if its set, turn it off. I had a computer where Noise Reduction got turned it and I has the same issue. Noise Reduction actually did more harm then good on that computer.

If it matters,its running win 7 32 bit on the dell. @losofradios i will lookfor that as well and if i find it , ill try it in the morning when nobody is listening to it.
