Has anybody had their screen replaced on a BCD436HP???? Mine is horribly scratched and i would like to have it replaced but not sure if it is possible

The plastic screen is available from Uniden Parts. Send an email to order[at]uniden.com
Make sure you ask for the window and the double sided adhesive tape as well.

When I first got my 436HP I had some extra screen protector material for a Kindle reader which I cut to size and installed on the scanner's screen. Good luck.
Has anyone actually replaced the "window" themselves? I have one at home for my 436, but I've been hesitant to proceed for fear of messing it up. It didn't ship with any sort of adhesive.
I've done it on the 396XT, it was VERY straightforward. When I sent my 436HP in for a warranty fix, they swapped my window.
Good to know. I haven't yet sent mine in for the clock issue. I wonder if I sent the "window" along with the scanner it if they would be kind enough to do the swap? I'll give that a try and maybe give'em a heads up beforehand to see what they say.
All I sent was my scanner, they took the onus to replace the window on their own at no charge to me...I was surprised when it came back this way...
I had sent this scanner infor the clock fix but forgot to mention the window and it did not get replaced
