Bring back the screen mask option for a future firmware update. The signal strength or frequency I could care about. By the way the BC250D also has a primary mode while holding a trunked id.

On the previous scanners uniden has a option on the menus for screen mask to be turned on or off. This option when turned on will only display the alpha tags that one programs in a bank and not the frequencies or signal strength.

Isn't that what Func + 5 does (pg 48 in the manual)?

Toggling Channel Alpha Tags
To change the display so the channel and frequency or
Talk Group ID appear instead of the alpha tag, press
[FUNC] + 5.

Thats func+5 changes it to either apha or the id number. signal strength and freq still there. the only diference is the trunked id and not the alpha display shows. Already tried it.

The mask removes the 'clutter' from the display.
