sd card error

Turned scanner off last night got up and turned on this morning all I get is "sd access card error" can even get sentinel to get to server any suggestions beside send it back it about 2 months old.

Uniden has their servers down until Tues so you cannot access to download Sentinel do database updates at this moment.

Is this a 436 or 536 scanner??

I had a similar problem with the 436HP last week.

It is a 536 the 436 is fine so far.

I had the problem with my 436. I swapped the SD cards between my 436 & 536 and they both worked, I have not had a chance to swap them back.

I took the 436 and copied it's card onto a new sd card, put in the 536 and now it is working funny how things happen.

I think the problem comes from turning the scanner off after leaving it on for a long time. I had my 2 536s on for months, and ran into the SD access error when I turned the scanners back on. Two scanners bricked in a matter of a few days by turning the scanners off then on again. Yeah, I think I'm over having my scanner depend on an SD card to operate.

SD card failure != scanner bricked.

A replacement card is $11 or less, and it only takes a few minutes to copy your scanner settings and favorite lists to a new one. Have a spare card on hand, ready to go.
