sd card/ usb connection

will a corrupt data card cause a computer connection problem.

my prs 800 powered done while connected to computer. (dead battery)

code 3-01 00000002 036f

tried to reformat card thru gre scanlist program no luck stops in dos prompt after i hit enter
also sd website format tool

open device manager and the port with scanner attaches has yellow triangle.

any help would appreciated,

Yes, a corrupt SDcard can cause a problem with your connection between the scanner and computer. That said I have a problem with your post. The scanner connected to the computer would be powered through the USB cable, not the battery. Before going much further with getting the scanner working again it might be a good idea to find out what went wrong. Could be that the card has failed, could also be caused by a bad USB cable.

The yellow triangle indicates that there is a problem with the device's communication with the computer. But you already knew that.

Search for SDFormater. Download the program and use that program to try to format the card. If the card is good then that program should be able to format your card.

my computer shut down due to a power interruption.
when i restarted the computer. the screen on my psr 800 showed the above code.

when connected to computer thru usb cable i can not shut the scanner off. it says off but as soon as i leave go of the power button the code shows up.

i have tried to format using the sd formatter, but with no connection thru usb cable to computer (in device manager) it will not let me format

when i hold power button and menu

up boot ver f1.0
up application u1.5
cpu sw upgrade waiting for usb

That sounds like a possible problem with your usb port in the computer or a bad usb cable. Open device manager and see if there is a clue there. Try connecting another usb device to the computer.

hey dan thanks,

i tried switching usb cables . still problems

gonna try a new sd card could only fine sdhc 8 gigs so who knows what i will end up with.

i am about ready to give up at this point
