Hearing stuff on SDFD on the 16's lately, mostly 16H. Last week, units on a call were chatting on it instead of 7F...weird. Just heard a dispatch to a guy passed out in a car and they said 16H on 7C...weird.

The new RCS Unified Fire Fleetmap, starting to roll out, is 23 zones.
Will there be any real world day to day use of the zones outside of 1-11 that would be anything other than training or admin...normal responses and incidents still would pretty much live in zones 1-11?

Yes. Travel moves to Zone 12, along with a pool of additional talk groups for major incidents and all of the "Air" TGs / channels.
The Imperial County Fire and MA TG zones are added, along with the 700 MHz Interop channels (2 zones).

16H is an open admin channel that is currently assigned to units working a detail at the convention center. COVID related homeless housing. AMR and some Fire personnel are there around the clock.
