The antenna's performance outside the 225-400Mhz spectrum is about like any other antenna that would be non resonant. Due to its dedicated 225-400Mhz purpose no compromises were made to make it useful outside the intended band. We had to really follow the rules so to speak to pull out every last bit of gain in the 225-400MHz spectrum that we could get.



Hey ZGUY,
How are these antennas on VHF air and other freqs? I like to listen to 118-136,138-146,225-400, and 800mhz trunked local police and fire. I know it is tuned to 225-400 but just curios on other bands.
Also great introduction price. I have to talk to the wife!!!!

Any note on when yet the civil air band antenna will be out? I know quite a few people who want one really bad!

Also, how does the Dobbins ATIS pick up without the preamp? And do you know your altitude above the base?
