SDR# and Weather Sat. reception

i know this will probley get me thrown under the bus but is weather sat images capable of being monitored with the stock dongle antenna?

You 'may' get a blip of signal here and there but I don't think you'd be able to receive much data.

I found that with the stock antennas my dongles were close to deaf.

Back when I got the first one, I clipped a long piece of wire on the stock antenna base and even that gave me quite an improvement while I was waiting for the coax adapters.
But I don't suspect it would be enough for a useable weather satellite signal.
