For starters this is not supported by test equipment or calibrated equipment.
1. I installed an Electroline EDA2400 Four Port Cable TV Amplifier. On ebay $20 up.
2. Connected my BCD996T to a port.
3. Connected my usb radio to a port.
4. Tuned 996T to 316.15 ATIS freq. about 20 miles away.
- Squelch would break going from S02 to S01 (weak signal).
5. Tuned HDSDR to 316.15.
- Moved signal to far right of display.
- Baseband -118~
- Signal -107~ gave a solid line on waterfall (forgot to listen to audio)
6. Tuned SDR# to 316.15.
- Moved 316.15 to far right of display.
- Baseband -80~
- No signal.
- Connected coax straight from ant. No signal.
7. Connected SignalHound to usb port and used coax from usb radio.
- No signal.
- Forgot to record baseband
8. Reconnected usb radio and started HDSDR and signal was there: -109
9. From comparing audio last night HDSDR AM audio is hardly readable while SDR#
AM audio was readable (on the freq above, weak).
