Hello,

I am currently having an issue where my RTL_SDR_V4 dongle isn't showing the receiving signals in SDR# but SDRTrunk is able to show the freqencies that were being transmitted. I have honestly tried everything myself to resolve this issue but I am currently stuck on why its not showing anything at all. Not even the 800 MHz range either.

Have you ever been able to receive using this exact sdr with SDR#?

Did you run the RTL-SDR installation script included in the SDR# download? Also, read the following to make sure you have the updated drivers for V4, etc.

yeah that is what I did too. I might have to install the latest driver again but I have a remote location of the exact same setup and it works w/o issue.

Original question: "Have you ever been able to receive using this exact sdr with SDR#?"
I haven't been able to receive with the other 2 RTLSDRs but they work perfectly fine with SDRTrunk.
You didn't answer the original question that I asked, but this answer also needs more clarification.

New question: You imply that you have two other RTL-SDRs that also do not work with this installation of SDR# - is this correct?

New question: are you using the same antenna system with SDR# that you use with SDRTrunk? Same computer?
yeah I did raise the gain but nothing was really showing besides the noise in the waterfall.
Based on this post, it sounds like the SDR is discovered and running on SDR#, but is not showing any signals. Can you provide a screenshot of the waterfall display? Also, a screenshot of the Device Manager window showing the RTL devices, expanded.

Yes, this is correct.

Yes. I tried on other computers too but its the exact same thing too. Works perfectly fine with SDRTrunk.

In the screen shot, you are tuned to 100.700 MHz, and visualizing band width between 100.5 and 102.0-ish - is that your target frequency range? Seems to me you should be looking elsewhere in the spectrum for a trunking system signal.

I have never seen dongles show in Dev Manager like that. Its clear you renamed them, as have others. Not saying that's a problem, just saying I never saw that before.

Your also in FM broadcast band with a decent amount of gain applied. Unless your in the boonies,. you should be seeing some radio stations.

What happens if you try SDR++ or a different version of SDR#? I mean if UT and SDRT work, sdr# could be the issue.

This frequency is strong where I live since I was able to pick it up before then. If I tune to the 800 MHz, it sshows the same thing from the screenshot

Did you use Zadig to replace the drivers for your RTL-SDR devices. If so, what does Zadig report as your current driver. Should be WinUSB.

If you tune to a known active control channel, what does it show?
