I have a couple of low cost SDR 'dongles' and would like to put them to 'work'. I would like to use the dongles and a Raspberry Pi to 'find' unlisted frequencies-I just want it to 'sense' the carrier and log the frequency. After letting it run for a few days (or weeks), I will parse the log file to eliminate known users plug the new ones into a scanner to see who they are.

Before I reinvent the wheel -is this software already available? What features am I forgetting?

Thanks for any input

There's not a whole lot of stuff that isn't already listed, except for a few new TG's on WyoLink. What flavor of SDR software are you running?

Just wondering about the concept. Thinking maybe check the Fed bands. Also be fun for Military Air band if it is fast enough. Depending on what you are looking for there is actually quite a bit to find.
