I am looking for a good software to run for my state P25 system on a Simulcast cell. I’ve had Fastlane and recently switched to SDR trunk but I can’t seem to work the kinks out for it to work on a simulcast cell. I’ve tried to get OP25 but it is too technical for me to get up and running it seems. Any input on a good software program for Simulcast would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

You have tried the three best out there. Not sure why you are not having success, but it could be your antenna system, SDRs, or computer hardware. Or maybe you are out-of-range of the simulcast cell, or perhaps a nearby cellular telephone site is interfering. SDR Trunk is probably the easiest of the three to set up.

SDRTrunk is not "finished" with respect to non-LTR trunking. There is a constant stream of updates, bug fixes and rebuilds. Best to stick with stable completed programs like DSDPlus/FMP.

Have you tried this for OP25? (Attached.)

SDR Trunk works best on Simulcast, make sure in the channels switch to set it to LSM also for any solution you will needs an Airspy R2 or multiple RTL-SDR's depending on system size

Tell us more about the issues with the simulcast. Usually ppm and gain properly set with a decent antenna will yield really good results. OP25 will also but if your not a Linux guy it can be challenging. Fortunately there are a some good how to guides on the install, and copy/paste will get it up and running.

If your still having problems with it let me know and I'll see what I can do to help. It took me a few months of tinkering with my 2 nooelec v5's and SDR-Trunk to get it working.
