The software is running on a windows PC with four RTL-SDR. The issue I am having is that I built a Alias List but it appears the SDR software plays all the TG anyways. The only thing I get from having a list is that I get the identifier. I don't remember this happening with a older version. Is this normal? I would think it would filter all the TG's except the ones in the list.

Nope, not how it works. It plays all the TGs that are not muted in your list. If a TG isn’t in your list, you just won’t get an alias to display.

I think you can put a wildcard “TG range” 1-65535 entry in that says mute and then it should work as you expect.

You have to mute the ones you don't want to hear, no? I had to update my alias group due to some additional comms that had started coming through, which were not represented as part of a TG previously. I updated the alias with RR, and set all groups to mute except for the ones I wanted. Now all is back to normal.

I feel this is backwards. It should only play what is in the list like any other scanner does. OK I will build a list to block unwanted TG's

You can also set the wild card to record if interested in new tg's on the system not in the alias list.

A Uniden scanner with id search set to on will play any tg it hears. With it set to id scan, that scanner will only play what's programmed.

You do one alias list. Then set what you want to Listen and or Record.

Just keep an eye on the recordings folder. They grow quite large after a while. I use Trunking Recorder and set it to save and purge after 20 days.
Where would I find the setting that limits the recordings to a specific length?

I use Trunking Recorder which imports and removes the audio files from SDRTrunk and places it into Trunking Recorders directory. TR then performs the purging base on the number of days set in the settings.

For one not using Trunking Recorder, SDRT preferences has max size thresholds.

Ahhhh That's why you make the big money. I've been in that area and can make that adjustment. Thanks for the help.
