I downloaded the 1165 version today, works perfectly as expected. I find a great improvement in the audio quality, very sharp and clear. Also it has the Zadig driver in the download.

Thanks for the heads up! It appears there have been several changes since the last time I checked in on SDR#.

So I deleted the SDR Sharp version 1165 and downloaded it again. The first download we perfect, the second time I downloaded it and ran it, it doesn't seem like the same version as the first time I downloaded it. Second download didn't come with Zadig like the first download, also it didn't have the RTL-SDR / USB in the drop down box?

I have tried downloading it a couple of times and end up with the same thing. And yes I am sure that the first time I downloaded it was 1165 and not 1144 version as i checked at the top of the window. So tomisius I hope you have better luck than me.

So Far Away....
Those SDR# versions can update rapidly..
Good to keep regular check ups.

Side note..May be just me but the newer
versions seem to run a lil easier on the
CPU..

I downloaded and installed version 1165 and I don't see the zadig driver files included anywhere. Then again, I already have them installed on this computer. Other than that, I didn't observe any radical differences to the UI. Reading through the change sets, it appears most changes have been non-cosmetic (bug fixes and so on). I do see that the trunking plugin is missing from the left column. I guess it's still an option which must be installed manually.

It's been a while but I recall a bug in which the trunking plugin became unusable if I selected a certain check box. My memory fails me

By default RTL-SDR / USB is commented out in the SDRSharp.exe.config file. You may have not replaced your config the first time but did the second.

Don't ask me why they package it that way, but they do. Edit your SDRSharp.exe.config and remove the <!-- --> surrounding the RTL-SDR /USB line. You can also comment out any devices you are not using so the DLLs aren't loaded at runtime. ie Softrock, Funcube and Funcube+, SDR-IQ, HackRF

This is how that line looks now,

<add key="RTL-SDR / USB" value="SDRSharp.RTLSDR.RtlSdrIO,SDRSharp.RTLSDR" />

The last message was wrong, that line was from version 1144. Version 1165 has the parameters you mentioned, but when I deleted them the program doesn't work. If I put them back in, it works?

Just carefully check that you didn't delete the comma at the end of the line or something, or just copy your 1144 config file to the 1165 directory.

Also, there are DLLs that are required but not part of the distribution the easiest way to fix that is select all the DLL files in the working directory and paste them in the new directory and say no to any replacement prompts. This will only copy the missing DLL's and not replace any from the new version.

All of this is usually avoided by using the install.bat script at the bottom of the SDR# download page. It would make a lot more sense to have it at the top of the page because most people just hit the first download link which only downloads the program files. Because of the different licensing requirements of some external components they are not packaged with the actual program files. The install script basically downloads them from the respective sites so technically you are getting them from the source and not the SDR# distribution.
