Hello,
Been working on my SDRTrunk Alias List to block out any unwanted talkgroups and certain radio ranges, and was uncertain if SDRTrunk used a certain hierarchical logic to how it processes its alias lists. Does it matter if entries are higher or lower than others in your list when it comes to what you set to not listen/mute (blacklist) and where you have entries for listening. I know there is also a priority you can assign but only to what you want to listen to. Is a higher number equal to a lower priority, or a higher priority? Also, is overlapping talkgroups okay, or does that cause problems if they exist on a group that is set to not listen, and another group that is set to listen?
My current set up is to blacklist all talk groups at the top of the list, then open up ones going down and then finally blacklist certain radio id ranges (buses making private calls) at the very bottom. This appears to work mostly correctly, but occasionally I get situations where I think I see groups that I currently have set to listen (and hit the save button on) but will not get any call audio out of them, and I wonder if its to do with how my list is set up, or if not may just be not enough tuners to cover the spread, using 2-3 usually, but one doesn't have the correct antenna attached. Anywho, I was just trying to understand the logic of how SDRTrunk processes the alias list and if order mattered in priority. Here is my current list.
