Hello,

I accidentally recorded several days (about a week ) of recordings as *.mbe files when I first setup SDRTrunk a year or so ago. I know the voice frames are there but how do I play them back or better yet convert to a audio file.

Cheers,

James.

DSD-FME will do what you want. You can use the -r to play the MBE and -P to save a per call WAV file.

Cheers, I tried Audacity and it didn't work, I also tried DSD but one called DSDPlus and that didn't work but I will have a look for DSD-FME and see what it can do.

A separate program from the author of SDRTrunk to convert them by the folder would be handy lol...

Thanks,
James

@Tidalwave - do you have any further instructions on its use? I cant seem to get it to work.. I am however using the compiled win32 version with updates. could this be a Linux only feature?

I should ask, what was the original signal? P25, DMR, NXDN? DSD-FME should auto find P25 and DMR but you'll need -fi for NXDN48 and -fn for NXDN96. I do recall needing the correct version of DSD-FME and SDRTRUNK to work. I'm using v0.6.1 SDRTrunk and 2025-214-g632041a Cygwin version of DSD-FME.
