SDRTrunk working well but no audio when streaming

hey!. I finally got around to setting up SDR-Trunk this weekend. Its scanning good I hear audio through my speakers but when trying to stream through icecast I don't hear any audio. Does anyone have an experience using the built in stream? The icecast server is running. No errors in the log. The mountpoint is connected to sdrtrunk but no audio. I'm wondering if I didn't set up the alias correctly? I set it to the talkgroup that I'm listening too. I just set it to the NOAA weather radio for testing.

You need to go into the streaming section, choose the alias list, and then highlight all of the aliases you want sent to Icecast and push them over to the right side with the right arrow key. Chances are, if you look in your Streaming section for that particular stream, you probably will not see any aliases on the right side.

I think that is what I have currently. I do not have any identifiers set because it's just a noaa channel could that be why? Here are some screenshots

Beat me. It would be helpful if you actually showed your streaming tab and then clicked on the stream so that we could see what aliases you have set to stream. Look at my screenshot.

That looks like it should be right. Are you hearing the audio locally on your computer? If so, I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be coming over the stream. Hopefully somebody else reading this thread and will be able to help you out.

correct. Loud and clear locally just not over the stream. I tried streaming test audio through icecast to make sure it wasn't an icecast issue and that worked. That's why I thought maybe I didn't set my alias correctly.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I don't have any TG set under the alias tab for the noaa channel. It's not technically a trunked system so I'm not sure if I really need to add anything in there. On the main page I see the CALL lit up but I don't see any alias labeled so not sure if its not trigger it to send to the streamer? if that makes any sense.

I could use some help with my SDRTrunk setup. I have an approved feed for a conventional P25 Phase1 system, non-trunked. When I try to stream it via Broadcastify, I cannot hear any audio.

In SDRTrunk, it recognizes my approved feed but does not hear any audio. I am confused about whether I need to select an alias to actually pick the channel to stream. When I try to do this, all I see are the trunked channels, and I cannot see the conventional channel.

Any help would be great. See attached for screenshots.

A conventional Phase 1 P25 system, non trunked? Hmm. Sounds like a single P25 repeater, no system. You need to add any talkgroups used on that conventional P25 frequency to an alias list. Then under the streaming setup, under the Alias section you have to move those talkgroups from that alias list from the left panel to the right panel.

No talkgroups being streamed means nothing being heard on the feed.

Thanks for the info but there are no 'talkgroups' as it is not a trunked system, just conventional P25 repeated system. That I believe is why I am not seeing any of the channels under the alias. I cannot figure out how to add the regular conventional system to be able to be attached to the feed so it will stream.

Each conventional system, whether NBFM or P25, needs it's own Alias list. After setting up the channel, you need to monitor the "TO" column to see what the "Identifier" is for the channel.

Then when you set up your Alias list, you enter that number from the TO column as the Identifier. Most of the time it is a 1, but can be any number as designated when the system was setup.

Then add it to your streaming list.

Thanks. I see it transmitting on the now playing tab when I transmit, but cannot for the live of me figure out how to assign an alias so I can link it to the streaming tab so it will broadcast remotely.

Now Playing - Click on the P25 channel, then down below click on Events. Look for a talkgroup -- a TO:

Whatever the talkgroup is, you add it to an alias list that you create in the playlist editor.

Then in the streaming config you select that alias list and move that talkgroup from the left pane to the right

A screenshot of your Now playing --> Events informatoin for that channel would be most useful. Otherwise, you are making us all guess. You are the one that has everything in front of you.
