Bought the 200 because the 536 was so garbled at times it sounded encrypted at times. The 200 is far more superior in audio quality. Older eyesight, fat fingers and a bigger speaker helped me decide on the 200 Thankfully, ProScan has eliminated any need for a portable scanner which I cannot legally possess in my vehicle in my state.
Get yourself an amateur radio license and you should be GTG. That is, unless Indiana doesn’t provide an exemption for ham radio operators. Obtaining one is a piece of cake and there are a number of useful online resources where you can study the actual questions that are asked on the test. Hamtestonline.com is hands down the easiest one out there. Just make sure the questions you are studying are the most current ones being used and you should be all set. Good luck!
