I paid for the upgrade, I don’t use it all the time, but worth the money in my opinion. Although I do have the low volume bug on am, when in waterfall

I did mine. Its ok but as others have said, have other radios that have it too. Now if Uniden could put the waterfall display on the bottom of the screen while general scanning, think it would be more useful.

I accept the NXDN and DMR type of add on upgrades, because they say, "...it keeps the price of the scanner down". If that's truly the case, okay, even though the upgrade pricing seems excessive. Now that waterfall option, being that I already have it on my much cheaper RSP1, at no additional cost, and really would not be using it while portable, I decided not to be a cash cow for Uniden. I already own enough products designed to make you buy additional things at inflated prices.

600$-700$ for a radio and you can't make up your mind on 20$? I bought 1 for both 100 & 200 and never tried it yet
:rolleyes::p:p

That may not be his only deciding factor. It could be principle too. After buying one of the most expensive radios on the market (which must have a nice profit margin), being nickel and dimed after the purchase seems pretty freaking lame to me. Also, as @MStep mentioned the display is small and not exactly conducive for anything other than a novelty, or maybe bragging rights... "look at me I spent $ on something I never use.
