SDS 100, Does not install to computer

When I insert the usb cable/micro to the scanner and computer it does not load (show). I do get the "chime" that the connection is made - but the scanner is not seen. Suggestions since I can't use Sentinel until the scanner is recognized?

Are you using the correct port on the scanner?
Is the one labeled "CHARGE".
I too, made the same mistake, when I first got the SDS100. It didn't seem intuitive but, it's the only enabled port of the scanner as of now.

Go into the device manager of your windows computer and see if the driver needs to be reloaded.

Turn the scanner ON then respond to the question, "." for Serial Connection or "E" for Memory Card.
