SDS100/SDS200: SDS 100 in niagara

hi there ,, i'm seriously thinking about buying the sds100 scanner , my 396 has pretty much stopped working for me . just wondering if anyone in the naigara area has this scanner and how it performs in the peninsula. ii'm a bit nervous about starting over with a new scanner but i'm up for the challenge. thanks in advance .

I also have a 396t scanner and with all the new digital systems starting up DMR, NXDN and others I am waiting until Whistler comes out with there new scanner in the new year and will see what their new scanner is going to offer before making a decision on a Uniden or Whistler scanner

I would definitely wait for the Whistler.. at least with Whistler the DMR & DXDN upgrades will most likely be included with the radio (and probably ProVoice too) with the 436 ..536 & SDS100 each optional upgrade is another $60 U.S. extra each. Whistler has had much better quality control with their products over Uniden.

well I wouldn't say that I'm a whistler fan I've never owned one of their scanners but I hate to go out and buy the SDS 100 Uniden and then Whistler comes out with a better scanner in the first quarter of next year. It surprises me that I've heard of no one with an SDS 100 scanner in the Niagara region you would think that there would be at least one or two
