Yaesu has a Single pin 3 conductor jack on some of its speaker mics like the FT70, maybe one of those would pass audio from the scanner ? Also Radio shack used to market a shoulder style speaker like what you describe, but that would be a Rare find these days.

If you really can't live without one, and price is not an issue, there's this from Scanner Master. For far less money however, there's also this from Scanner Master.

I Havel the " Scanner Blaster" lapel Mic. Strong professional sounds , however it requires rechargeable batteries and no built in battery shut off. It is heavy built like a tank and professionally made It came with 3 years warranty from Klein Electronics.
Based on my current set up, I have not used it for a while.

If you have a few weeks of patience I have been testing a new amplified speaker mic from Scanner Master (Not the Valor/Klien "ScannerBlaster") that will work great with the SDS100 as well as other Uniden scanners (and presumably with Whistler/GRE/RS as well).

USB Charging and a power switch should be on the production model.

It is ecpected to be available soon.

So are you going to be selling units on their website?

I see this is listed on the scannermaster website so maybe this is what Rich was referring to

I had the Spectrum Force a while ago and it didn't take long before it went in the drawer, poor quality, faulty volume control and not enough punch, remember it's going into the earphone jack of an SDS 100 that is deliberately set for low volume to protect your ears.

I remember good reports from members here on the Blaster one from Scanner Master but it is a hefty price tag.

Either way it's a moot point as they both seem to be out of stock for a long time.

That looks exactly like the model that Radio Shack sold for years, it had the word Realistic on it. I still have two of them. We're going way back.
