After seeing a photo of an SDS100 mounted in a big truck with a RAM Mount, I bought the mount my 2004 Peterbilt.
Works great on the roughest roads. Plus, having had issues with Simulcast systems in areas like El Paso and Phoenix, to the point I would mute the scanner in my 885 hybrid CB/Scanner in those areas, it's night and day the difference between the SDS100 and 885 scanner.
Starting out from Eloy,Az all the way to Glendale, crystal clear audio on systems the 885 would just roll over on.
And, as a bonus Air Band signals are clear too! ( I use a Larsen mobile scanner antenna mounted on the driver's side mirror)
Glad I bought the 100. I have the SDS200 at home. It's great too.

Sounds like a plan!

Hard to miss.

I had to add a mic holder to mine it kept bouncing out of the finger mount because of the bigger battery

Your photo in another thread is what inspired me to get the RAM mount for my radio.
I have the larger battery as well. But, so far, I haven't seen the need to switch it out. With the original battery, the radio fits perfectly in the mount. And the mount holds the radio without any issues.
I have the larger battery on another SDS100 that I use in my pickup. Fits in a front cupholder just right.
Thank you for posting the photo of your setup in that other thread.
