SDS 200 availability

I have had my eye on the SDS200 for some time now but there appears to be a shortage of them. I would like to buy from Scanner Master but they do not have them nor does the main Uniden website. Does anybody know if there is an issue with components etc. that is causing this shortage? I am curious as to why Bearcast Warehouse has them and Gigaparts has them but other places are out. I don't think the Bearcat Warehouse is affiliated with Uniden Corp (Uniden told me this when I emailed them) so I am not sure why they have them and Uniden does not. I would buy from Bearcat Warehouse but I am not sure if they are legitimate. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I think this has been addressed before, but they come in quarterly batches overseas and retailors are allocated a certain amount. Some retailers move units faster than others, and some might like to ration them out. As for Uniden not having any stock, they might not want to ruin the relationship with their retailers; it would look bad if Uniden had units, but the vendors do not, so the retailers get higher priority. Also, Uniden seems to have more business reselling their scanners than they do selling scanners themselves.

Bearcat Warehouse is a legitimate vendor, I've done business with them before just fine.

Main Trading Company in Paris, Texas has them too. They often run specials (possibly a Black Friday special this year?), so you might consider getting on their mailing list to be advised. I got an SDS200 from them in July of this year for $594.99 and like it so much I may snag another if they have a Black Friday sale. Or maybe another SDS100? That's the funny thing about radios - no matter how many you have it's never enough!
I have no affiliation with MTC - just a happy customer of theirs, having purchased both the SDS200 and SDS100 from them.

Ham Radio Outlet in New Castle, DE had one SDS200 left a few days ago when I bought mine and they have a handful of SDS100 units when I was there this morning.

Go with Amazon as their return policy is through 1/31/23 even if it is Police Scanner Outlet.
