SDS LCD fade repair update

I sent my SDS100 to Uniden a couple of weeks ago for the repair of the gradual backlight fade, I received it today with the service slip showing that the LCD was replaced. I can tell that the LCD was replaced but the fading is still there, not as bad but definitely present.

I don't think I'll send it back as the enemy of good is better.

That's unfortunate. More and more I hear of scanners being return without being repaired at all, or half-baked repairs. Or customers are being told it's normal and performing to specs. Obviously Uniden's definition of normal or performing to specs is flawed along their products. It's sad that customers for the most part have no choice but to just accept that. It's not right (n):mad:

Another member posted a similar complaint last week I think it was. If I remember correctly, he sent his in twice before it was actually repaired.
