I sent my SDS100 to Uniden a couple of weeks ago for the repair of the gradual backlight fade, I received it today with the service slip showing that the LCD was replaced. I can tell that the LCD was replaced but the fading is still there, not as bad but definitely present.
I don't think I'll send it back as the enemy of good is better.
