So about a week ago I was doing a custom search and it would stop on some channels and I would hear some static and a slow crackling noise but when I advanced it, it would move on. When it got to a DMR channel it would stay on it and I could hear it just fine but for the first time ever I noticed no signal meter. After doing some checking I noticed no signal meter on my p25 system but it also sounds fine. What worries me is that I have never heard that noise before and some days the signal meter will be on for a little bit then go off. I tried firmware and a reset but no luck I hope its not the cold solder crap anybody have any ideals Thanks

That's the telltale signs of a cold solder joint problem in the J401 connector. If it's still in warranty then send to Uniden for repair. If not, then contact Jonwienke here in RR to check if he has time to fix it for you.
