I use a remtronix for the trunking stuff. Works wonderful. Anybody got any recommendations geared more towards the airband? Or something better towards the lower bands?
I use this one for VHF and Airband. Collapsed, it's passable on 800 but not fantastic. However, it's worked quite well for me on the lower bands including air. Also, the antenna can be folded which comes in more handy than you might think sometimes.

Most SMA antennas don't fit the SDS100 correctly. Your best bet is to get a BNC adapter and use BNC antennas, especially if you switch antennas regularly.

I have the BNC version of this with an adapter since I had been using it with a different scanner initially. I wasn't aware the SMA version may not fit as commented above. Scannermaster could tell you for sure but my BNC with adapter works well. Good luck!
