SDS100 and SDS200 Antenna Connection Types - Could anyone tell me what the antenna connection type is for these two radios. I have an external antenna, via coax male and I can't seem to find an adapter to connect with the radio. Thank you !!

My SDS100 came with an adapter… the SDS100 comes as a Female SMA. The adapter connects to the Female SMA and allows for the use of BNC antennas.

I believe the adapter is custom made by or for Uniden (necessary because the radio case has a collar around the antenna port which won’t allow some aftermarket scanner antennas to make a connection. (That collar is supposed to help keep the radio sealed from moisture. A feature I never had a need for-I don’t go for long walks in the rain and abstain from showering with it!) I have a drawer full of SMA and BNC antennas that came off of amateur radio handhelds and other scanners, some single band, some multi-band. Most of my SMA antennas won’t fit because I can’t screw them down far enough due to that collar. But with the supplied adapter I can use the BNC antennas wit no problem.

If you have a lathe and the antenna are metal, they can be turned down and a groove for an o-ring can be added. Saw a post that someome used a dremel to get an SRH77 to fit the 100.

Op seems to be using standard catv F connectors and may be able to get by with this.
