can anyone provide guidance / steps on how to set up the SDS100 in Close Call mode to pickup on a very close DMR signal? I have the DMR and NXDN upgrade. I have successfully been able to hear NXDN, P25 and Analog using the CloseCall mode. I cannot get the SDS to recognize on an open non-encrypted DMR signal. I have both a MotoTrbo and Kenwood NX-5000 series sitting near me and neither get picked up on the scanner in DMR, but do on P25, NXDN and Analog. What am i doing wrong? thank you. Have you successfully picked up DMR in close call?

If you try to pick up your own DMR transmission it will not work as it is a pulsating signal and close call needs a constant signal to be able to work out the frequency. Your other modes sends out a constant signal from your mobiles.

To get a closecall signal from a site it has to be conciderable stronger than any other signal in that frequency band. You probably have too many transmitters in that band that are too strong. I have a Optoelectronics Scout40 and that captures frequencies even when there are several transmitters in a site and usually alternate between them displaying the different ones. Close Call can never do that but Scout also costs almost as much as the whole scanner.
