No problem. To answer your question, not that I know of. It would make changing the battery more difficult.

Good point. Never thought of changing the battery. I normally charge the battery in my scanner and cycle them out every few weeks

Rubber skin could cause the battery or scanner to run hotter than normal. Rubber skins are never a good idea...well, there's one reason for them but I digress. I bought the SDS Hard case from Scanner Master. It is hard. Its also a tight fight until the leather stretches a bit. I believe it will really help protect the scanner tho. FWIW. Greg
